Develop your skills in our purpose-built workshop and become adept at all aspects of painting and decorating. You will be able to apply hangings to walls and ceilings, and apply a range of decorative finishes to your work. You will also learn how to use advanced equipment such as high volume low pressure spray equipment. There will also be an opportunity to improve your employability skills during industry placements. During this course you will learn a range of advanced techniques that will help to prepare you for a career in the industry. During this advanced course you will fine tune your skills in our purpose built workshop and become adept at all aspects of painting and decorating. You will be able to applying hangings to walls and ceilings and apply a range of decorative finishes to your work. You will also learn how to you advance equipment such as high volume low pressure spray equipment. There will also be an opportunity to improve your employability skills during work experience placements before you head off and start your career in the industry. Topics you will cover during the course include: • Erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms. • Applying hangings to walls and ceilings. • Producing specialist finishes for painted decorative work. • Producing specialist architectural finishes for decorative work. • Applying Water-borne paint systems using airless equipment. • Applying water-borne paint systems using HVLP spray equipment.
