This A Level is included within the Humanities A Level pathway as a recommended core subject. The content of this interesting course covers a wide range of historical events in the UK and the USA. Discover how America became the superpower that it is from 1865-1975, how it is governed and its attitudes to foreign powers. You will also look how Britain has changed in the period between 1951 and 2007, studying the welfare state, the Thatcher Revolution, war in Iraq and the changing lives of British people. Your coursework will cover the end of slavery in the USA.
