History

Course summary

A Level History is excellent at embedding skills for a wide variety of careers. You will study The British Empire, c1857-1967 - this unit allows you to study, in breadth, issues of change, continuity, cause, and consequence during this period. You will also study The Birth of the USA, 1760-1801 - this unit provides the opportunity for an in-depth study of the years in which the 13 American colonies broke away from Great Britain and founded the USA. The third part is a historical investigation - this is a Non-exam assessment component.
