Course summary

BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate course is for young people who are interested in a carer within the HSC sector including nursing, midwifery, Health visitor, and paramedic. This course is an excellent choice for a career in Health, Social Care, Community Justice, or Early Years sectors. You will develop practical, interpersonal, and thinking skills and study a wide range of topics assessed by both exams and coursework. The courses are very ‘hands-on’ and you will have the opportunity to undertake a number of work experience placements. You can choose to study the Extended Certificate (equivalent to 1 A Level) or the Diploma (equivalent to 2 A Levels).
