Course summary

If you enjoy GCSE Maths (particularly algebra) then this is the course for you. If you are considering studying A Level Physics then you will be required to take A Level Mathematics but it also supports Humanities subjects. You will study a combination of pure maths, mechanics, and statistics over two years. In the first year, you will study either mechanics or statistics alongside pure mathematics which extends what you have learned at school, as well as introducing you to important new ideas and methods. In the second year, you will study some topics from statistics or mechanics while also continuing your study of pure maths. During your two years of study, you will undertake a work placement. You will also hear from a variety of industry speakers, visit career fairs, and attend workshops, trips, and visits.
