Assessment

Component 1 Appraising Music: Written paper following recordings based on aural and notation, score analysis and essay questions on set work strands (the Baroque concerto, operas of Mozart and piano music of Chopin, Brahms and Grieg) and on Pop Music and Jazz. Component 2: Performance on an instrument(s) of your choice for a minimum of 10 minutes. Component 3: 2 compositions for any instrument (a brief set by the exam board and a free choice).
