Course summary

Psychology is the scientific study of the relationship between behaviour, performance, and mental processes. The Applied Psychology course is specifically aimed at understanding the importance of psychology in a health-related career. You will also study research methods and their application in applied psychology as well as undertake your own research project. Psychology is an ideal course to study alongside courses with psychology elements within them; Subjects such as Sociology, Criminology, Childcare, and Sport and Physical Education. Psychology consists of a series of units, which are assessed through external and internal assessments. Core Units: Psychological Approaches and Applications, Conducting Psychological Research, and Health Psychology. Chosen Optional Unit: Introduction to Psychopathology.
