The course covers: • Geological Investigations • Geological Principles and Processes • Geological Applications including Geohazards, Geological Map Application and Geological Evolution of Britain. • Practical Endorsement: An assessment of practical competency. Students undertake four days of fieldwork and complete experiments in the laboratory to pass the practical endorsement.
At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5 including English and Maths at a grade 4. A 4 or above in Sciences is preferred.
The course consists of three examined components and a practical endorsement; the examined elements have a strong focus on analytical and evaluative skills throughout.
