Course summary

• Chemistry is the ‘Central Science’, it connects all other sciences to each other. • A-level extends the ideas introduced at GCSE to give a greater insight into how and why compounds are formed, why reactions occur or don’t and why we exist. • It introduces the fundamental ideas of chemistry to enable specialisms in Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry at degree level. • It develops essential skills prized by employers including; problem solving, written and oral communication, monitoring/recording of data, analysis and time management.
