Course summary

To succeed and enjoy this course, you should like questioning and challenging religious belief, experience and sacred writings. You should be prepared to read around issues and to research independently when necessary. You will also need to be comfortable with reflecting on how issues affect yourself and the wider society. You will be able to challenge and develop your ideas and those of others, explaining intelligently what you believe and what you do not believe with reference to your own thinking and some of the big names in the on-going debate about life's biggest questions. The course has been chosen to give you the widest range of skills and experiences possible from a Religious Studies A Level course.

Entry requirements

- English Language 5, Religious Studies 6 (if taken) or English Language 5 and a text based humanity subject 6 - At least 6 GCSE subjects at Grade 6 or above. - At least a Grade 5 in English. - At least a Grade 5 in Mathematics.

How you'll be assessed

Units RS04 and RS06 (1 hour 15 minutes each) are examined at the end of Year 12. RS3D and RS4A (1 hour 30 minutes each) are examined at the end of Year 13.
