Assessment

New A-Levels will be fully linear so assessment of knowledge and understanding of the whole course takes place at the end of two years of study. There will be a total of three exams and a series of 12 practical groups that must be covered and evidenced in your laboratory books to gain the practical endorsement that sits alongside the A-Level. The practical endorsement for chemistry is a teacher-assessed pass/fail component and performance is reported separately to the A-level grade.
