Assessment

To enjoy the subject and be successful you will need to be logical and confident working with numbers and able to analyse what these numbers show. You do not need any previous knowledge of the subject. The aim of the course is to give you an understanding of the concepts and principles that underpin accounting theory and practice and its importance in a variety of organisations. Within the course you will study aspects of both Financial and Management Accounting. In Year 1, the course is assessed internally via a formal assessment. In Year 2, there are two written examinations, which will comprise of a mixture of multiple choice questions, structured questions and extended answer questions.
