The WJEC diploma in Food Science and Nutrition is a challenging but rewarding course aimed at students who wish to progress into a variety of food-focused careers including working within the food and hospitality industry or in sports and nutrition, healthcare, or educational settings. Students will study three units over the two years: ● Ensuring Food is Safe to Eat ● Experimenting to Solve Food Production Problems ● Meeting The Nutritional Needs of Specific Groups

Entry requirements

At least five GCSE passes or equivalent in five different subjects. Achieve a high grade at GCSE. Be motivated and enthusiastic about both practical and theoretical work. Be organized and methodical. Be able to meet deadlines e.g. completing homework and submitting work on time.

How you'll be assessed

The three units are assessed via internal and external assessments, with each unit graded as a pass, merit or distinction.
