HomeSchool Profile

Welcome to James Calvert Spence College

At JCSC, our sixth form students are expected to be role models for other students and also to engage with our wider community. We strongly believe that post-16 education is about more than academic achievement and we’ll encourage you to develop new skills and to be a good citizen. In the summer term of Year 12 you’ll take part in our in-school volunteering programme to give back to the school and your fellow students. You might find yourself giving classroom support to lessons for younger students or helping out with lesson preparation, or working as a student mentor tasked with intervention assistance. Some students share their interests and talents with our younger pupils by helping out with extra-curricular clubs at lunchtime and After School Clubs such as art, creative writing, code, drama or climbing club. Sixth formers also have the opportunity to raise awareness of and money for different charities or to represent their peers as a Form Representative.
