Course summary

Passionate about Sport? Our vocational courses offer you the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the industry and to specialise in specific areas of sports-based professions. Combining classroom and practical sessions, you'll also have the opportunity for industry work placements (Diploma and Extended Diploma). The Diploma is a two-year course, equivalent to 2 A Levels. Units will be selected from core units and specialist units taught over two years: • Anatomy and Physiology • Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being • Professional Development in the Sports Industry • Sports Leadership • Practical Sports Performance • Application of Fitness Testing • Coaching for Performance • Investigating Business in Sport and Active Leisure • Skill Acquisition in Sport
