The BTEC Sport Level 3 courses are designed for those Learners, who have an interest and passion for sport and PE. Students can choose to do a Single, Double depending on what their interests are. A combination of assessment methods are used across the range of courses, to develop student’s confidence in their own ability to apply knowledge in order to succeed in the workplace or go onto higher education. Within the course there are specialist Units, providing the learner with more in-depth understanding of specific areas within the sports industry. These courses are ideal for learners, who excel in coursework.
An average GCSE grade of 4 and above, including Grade 4 in English Language and a 4 in either Maths or Science.
Students are assessed using the following methods; Written assignments, Exam based and synoptic assessment. The assignments are set internally and marked by the teaching team. The exam based units are sat on a set date and marked externally. The synoptic assessment is a seen scenario, whereby, students are given research time, before they sit this assessment.
