Course summary

Studying History at A-Level allows students to understand the significance of historical events, the decisive role played by individuals, and also the extent of continuity and change over time. A-Level History at Erasmus Darwin Academy has undergone a revolution. The reforms to A-Levels across the country came into effect for History in September 2015. The new course is very stimulating and the exam requirements involve a natural progression from the skills used in GCSE History and English. New opportunities have become a possibility, such as trips to Hampton Court Palace to complement the Tudor module.
