The topics you study will see you exploring everything from inequalities in Latin American cities to the likely impact of future climate change. Topics include: • Hazards • Coastal environments • Changing places • Water and carbon cycles • Contemporary urban environments • Global systems and global governance • Fieldwork based geographical investigation Awareness of current affairs, environmental issues and your local area will all help you with this course. Under the guidance of our teachers, you will explore worldwide issues. You will engage and debate in your learning, challenging your own views, as well as those of others. A core element of your learning involves fieldwork, so you’ll be regularly learning outside of school and the classroom! Geography is highly valued by universities as an A Level choice. Career areas related to the study of Geography include; Urban Planning, Cartography, Climatology, Environmental Management, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Research.
