Assessment

• 60% an internally assessed unit • 40% an externally set examination paper Students learn how to work through the design process; completing visual and topical research, examining the work of other artists and designers to inspire their own work, experimenting with a range of ideas before developing work to a final piece. As well as working with traditional textile media, students also experiment with mixed media, for example, stitching into recycled plastic bags for a fashion garment.
