Course summary
This course is aimed at students who are interested in furthering their knowledge of all three sciences: biology, Chemistry and Physics. The course will provide an ideal base for further education in a science-related course at university, or an apprenticeship scheme. It also provides a range of opportunities to develop more advanced practical skills. How is the course taught? Three mandatory units are taught through interactive teaching methods, practical experiments and student-led activities, and one optional unit which involves research into a specialist area. What areas are covered by the course? ● Principles of Applied Biology: Cells, tissues and biological molecules, Body systems, Immune response, Genetics, and Health. ● Practical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases ● Human Biology and Health Initiatives
