Course summary

Fine Art is the making and study of visual art such as painting, printmaking, and sculpture. The course covers a variety of different processes and skills, which can be developed on a specialist art and design degree course. Analytical and observational skills can be utilized in a wide range of creative environments. WHAT WILL I BE LEARNING? The AQA A-level courses are designed to encourage a broad approach to Art, which will allow you to develop a sound grounding in a number of areas while still exploring the subject in depth. The course builds on the skills, knowledge, and understanding acquired at GCSE. WHAT SKILLS WILL I DEVELOP? A qualification in Art can lead to careers in all sectors of industry, besides publishing, advertising, and the media, working as a fine artist, art historian, or teacher.
