Course summary

Business Studies deals with some of the biggest challenges we face. Its range encompasses both large scale government decisions which impact upon unemployment, inflation and development, and the small scale decisions made by consumers and firms. The course is suitable for students who are interested in playing a full part in society and have an interest in learning how businesses and the government create benefits and economic wealth. The exciting next generation BTEC in Business qualification has been developed in collaboration with employers, representatives from higher education and professional bodies. This has ensured the course is up to date and relevant and offers you the knowledge, understanding, skills and attributes required in the business sector. The qualification covers two years and covers four units which include Exploring Business, Developing a Marketing Campaign and Personal Business Finance and Recruitment and selection processes.
