Principles of Product Design: This paper is set out through four sets of questions that predominantly cover technical principles within each endorsed title. 80 marks, 1hr 30mins written paper, 26.7% of A Level. Problem Solving in Product Design: This component has a series of longer answer questions that require learners to demonstrate their problem-solving and critical evaluation skills. 70 marks, 1hr 45mins written paper, 23.3% of A Level. Iterative Design Project Product Design: The ‘Iterative Design Project’ requires learners to undertake a substantial design, make, and evaluate a project centered on the iterative processes of exploring, creating, and evaluating. 100 marks, 65 hours NEA, 50% of A-Level.
