Course summary

Mathematics is an interesting and challenging A-level that will enable you to study a wide range of topics across pure and applied mathematics. You'll develop and deepen your understanding of topics covered at GCSE and be introduced to many new concepts too. Throughout the course, you'll apply your learning to interesting and complex problems and develop your skills in problem solving, logic, and modeling. You'll be required to demonstrate skills of mathematical argument, language, and proof. The ability to use and manipulate algebra is a key element to A-level Mathematics and to be successful at this level of study it is essential that you enjoy working with algebra. The study of Mathematics A-level leads to career pathways in medicine, science, business and accountancy, architecture, teaching and education, law, and computing.
