• Component 1: Breadth Study - Written Paper. 2 hours and 30 minutes written examination, there are 3 questions on the paper (1 of which is compulsory). 80 marks available and is worth 40% of the A Level. • Component 2: Depth Study - Written paper. 2 hours and 30 minutes written examination, there are 3 questions on the paper (1 of which is compulsory). 80 marks available and is worth 40% of the A Level. • Component 3: Historical Investigation - Coursework Unit. Assessed essay 3,500-4,000-word essay (written in own time). 40 marks.
