Sport Studies - Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate

Course summary

The Level 3 Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Sport and Physical Activity is equivalent to 1 A Level and provides a more vocational and applied look at the exciting and ever-growing world of sport, exercise and leisure. We are happy for a Year 12 student with no previous knowledge of the subject to join the course, assuming that they have a keen interest in the sports and fitness industry, and willing to engage in practical (playing, coaching, management and event management) activities. Sport is an industry with a number of different potential career pathways ranging from coaching, personal training, sports development, teaching, events management, psychology and injury management, to name a few. In addition, the heavy focus on coursework within this qualification and vocational focus of each module, provides students with the independent learning and organisational skills required for the transition into higher education, apprenticeships or employment.
