Course summary
The course starts with developing skills in the first term which are needed to be successful in the A level such as using photoshop, camera work and studio lighting. Following this initial period of experimentation students begin to develop a portfolio of photography exploring and recording the world around them. During year 13 students will be working on a personal study on a topic of their choice, this unit also contains a written essay element on a topic relating to the chosen area of study. In January of year 13 students start the preparation stage of the exam with their teacher, this culminates in a final outcome which is sat in exam conditions over 15 hours.
