Further Maths

Course summary

You must select Further Maths 2 when you choose this option AND do not select Maths as these courses include Maths. A level Further Mathematics is both challenging and enjoyable for students with a love of all areas of mathematics. The course will build primarily on the algebra content of the GCSE course. The course also develops areas such as proof, trigonometry, calculus, geometry, statistics and mechanics. You will be expected to: --Use mathematical skills and knowledge to solve problems - Present mathematical arguments; Model real life situations - Use calculator technology and other resources appropriately; Use large data sets.
