Course summary

A level physics covers a range of topics each focused on different key concepts of physics. Throughout the course you will have opportunities to develop your understanding of the laws of physics and apply your understanding to solve problems in a range of topics. The course aims to: • Develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of physics and how they relate to each other. • Develop and demonstrate a deep appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of scientific methods. • Develop competence and confidence in a variety of practical, mathematical and problem-solving skills. • Develop your interest and enthusiasm for physics, including developing an interest in further study and careers within physics. • Understand how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society.
