Assessment

In year 12 and 13 you will complete: Component 1: Drama and Theatre. – 40% of A Level, 80 Marks Knowledge and understanding of drama and theatre. Study of two set plays. Analysis and evaluation of work of live theatre makers. In Year 12 you will complete: Component 2: Creating original drama (Practical) – 30% of A Level. 60 Marks in total. Process of creating devised drama. Performance of devised drama (students may contribute as performer, designer or director) Devised piece must be influenced by the work and methodologies of one prescribed practitioner. In Year 13 you will complete: Component 3: Making theatre (Practical) 30% of A Level Performance of Extract 3 (40 Marks). Reflective report (20 Marks). 60 marks in total.
