Course summary
In this course you can expect to develop your creative abilities by advancing your practical skills, designing skills and theoretical knowledge. You will investigate historical, social, cultural, environmental and economic influences on fashion and design and technology, whilst enjoying opportunities to put your learning in to practice by producing products of your choice, and developing a creative portfolio. Problem solving and project management feature on this course also. Most students progress onto university degree courses in Fashion Design, Fashion Management, Costume Design and there are further opportunities within Engineering, Fibre Development and Product Design. There are more apprenticeships now available within this industry sector.
