Course summary

Extended Certificate in Business is equivalent to one GCE A Level. You will need to study 5 units over 2 years to achieve this qualification. Year 12 Units: • The Business Environment (Double Weighted) (externally assessed exam) • Marketing and Market Research OR Customers and Communication (coursework assignment) Year 13 Units: • Working in Business (externally assessed exam) • Customers and Communication OR Marketing and Market Research (coursework assignment) • Principles of Project Management, Responsible Business Practices OR Introduction to Human Resources Each unit is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. At the end of the qualification, these grades are worth points, which are added together to determine your final grade. The grades all carry UCAS points and will be recognised by universities.
