Assessment

Assessment: The course is assessed by exam and practical work. Exams account for 80% of your grade with an independent project for the remaining 20%. Students are able to choose their own topics for their project which can be any practical application of Computer Science (subject to department and approval) There are two exam papers, one focused on the theory of computing and the other on the practical aspects of the subject. The coursework will assess your ability to take on a significant project and you will be assessed on your analysis, design, code and system validation.
