Extended Project (EPQ)

Course summary

A-Level qualification for student's in Years 12 and 13. Independent Research Project of the student's own choice. EPQ students can select a topic of their choice in most subject areas. Final project: Artifact or dissertation. Taught Skills: Research and project management skills An EPQ is usually completed along with A-Level qualifications and in some cases BTEC courses. The most common combination is 3 A levels plus EPQ EPQ supervisors have an array of specialisms from across the curriculum. Completing an EPQ is considered excellent preparation for university. Worth 1/2 an A-Level and up to 28 UCAS points.
