The is intended as a qualification for post-16 learners who want to continue their education through applied learning and who aim to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment, possibly in the applied science sector. It will provide you with the knowledge, understanding, technical and employability skills to help you find employment in the applied science sector or to give you entry to a wide range of university courses. Practical work will cover a variety of scientific and medical science techniques The requirements of the qualification will mean that learners develop the transferable and higher order skills that are valued by higher education providers and employers.
