The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Applied Science is a 360 guided learning hour (GLH) qualification (taught over 2 years) which is equivalent to 1 A level. It consists of 4 units, of which 3 are mandatory and 2 are external. The mandatory content is 83% and the external assessment is 58%.
