Pearson BTEC Level 2 Technical Occupational Entry for Leading Community Activity (Sport)

Course summary

This is a one year NVQ course designed for students who are within or are considering a career in the sports/play or youth industries. It gives the opportunity to progress coaching skills in a range of sports, leading to level 1 or 2 coaching awards in various sports and Sports Leaders UK sports leadership awards as well as the NVQ qualification. The course is at Talacre Sports Centre with Camden Sports & Physical Activity Team. You will also be allocated a voluntary placement in either an educational or community setting where you will gain valuable experience in a ‘real setting’. If applicable you will also be given the opportunity to re-sit your GCSE Maths and English or complete your functional skills at WES for two sessions per week.
