Course summary
The course is challenging, enjoyable and responsive to the needs and interests of each student. It rewards those with a passion for exploring a diverse literary heritage spanning six centuries, with the coursework (NEA) element being especially flexible. You will read a selection of texts across a range of genres, exploring what they may have to say to us in the 21st Century, and what they say about their own times. More modern texts are studied both as new voices and as part of a tradition. Highlights Take part in regional and national competitions e.g. Laurie Lee prize. Theatre productions (live, streamed or filmed) support your set text studies. Opportunities to indulge your interests, notably in your coursework element.
