Assessment

You will be assessed by two written exams and two coursework pieces. Drama and Poetry pre - 1900 You study one play by Shakespeare, one pre‑1900 drama text and one pre‑1900 poetry text - 40% Comparative and Contextual Study - 40% Literature post-1900 (NEA) You study three literary texts (one text for Task 1 and two texts for Task 2). These must include one prose text, one poetry text and one drama text. The texts must have been first published or performed in 1900 or later, with at least one first published or performed in 2000 or later. This component enables you to develop your independent reading and research skills. There is flexibility in text choices
