Course summary

Why English Language This course is for students who wish to explore the functions and structures of writing, speech and conversation and who wish to discover how language functions in different social contexts. Course content AS English Language - Students will study towards two examinations at the end of the academic year. A2 English Language - This course builds upon the knowledge gained from the AS course. Students will learn how our language has developed under the influence of a variety of contextual factors and how these changes may be analysed and evaluated.
