Assessment

There are two examined units and two internally assessed (PSA) units to be taken over the two years. • Unit 1 Human Lifespan and Development - Exam. • Unit 2 Human Biology and Health - Exam. • Unit 3 Health and Social Care Practice - Controlled Assessment. • Unit 5 Promoting Health Education - Controlled Assessment. Each unit is worth 25% of the total for the qualification. Unit 1 Human Lifespan and Development - Exam: • 90 minute exam • 80 marks • Multiple choice, short and long answer questions worth 1 - 9 marks. You will take this exam in January of Year 12. You will be awarded a Near Pass, Pass, Merit, or Distinction depending on the marks out of 80 you achieve.
