Course summary

A Level Computer Science is both a theoretical and practical subject where students will learn about the fundamentals of computational thinking, algorithms, programming and computer systems. An intensely creative subject combining both invention and excitement, enabling the learner to look at the natural world through a digital prism. Students will develop an ability to apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, decomposition, logic, algorithms and data representation There is a strong emphasis on logical reasoning and problem solving and you will learn to use your mathematical skills and techniques to solve challenging problems.
