A Level PE
Course summary
The subject offers a multidisciplinary approach to the study of movement, performance and behaviour in relation to PE, sport, leisure and recreation. This course covers a wide range of theoretical areas such as: Anatomy, Physiology and Movement relating to participation in physical activity. Why study Physical Education? This course combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, challenging both the mind and the body. A-level PE students work closely with Saints’ physiotherapists as part of their anatomy and physiology lessons and during the sports injury unit. Data from the Saints senior rugby squad is used when analysing fitness tests and athletic performance.
