Academic Mentoring

Course summary

As an Academic Mentor, you’ll be paired with Year 10 and 11 students who need extra support as they prepare for their GCSEs. Having just successfully completed your own GCSEs, you’re in a great position to guide them. You’ll meet with them regularly to talk through challenges, share revision strategies, help with organisation, and boost their confidence. You won’t be teaching content, so don’t worry about needing expert subject knowledge. Instead, you'll be someone who listens, problem-solves, and helps them take the steps they need to succeed. You’ll receive full training and support, and any time you give outside normal school hours will be given back in your timetable.
