Course summary
A Level Business provides a broad understanding of how organisations operate and make decisions in a dynamic world. In Year 12, students study: Theme 1: Marketing and People, exploring how businesses attract customers and manage employees, Theme 2: Finance and Operations, focusing on financial planning and efficient production. In Year 13, the focus shifts to Theme 3: Strategic Business Decision Making Theme 4: Global Business, analysing strategy and the challenges of competing internationally. There is no coursework: assessment is by three final exams at the end of Year13. Paper 1 covers marketing, people and global business (35%). Paper 2 examines business activities, decisions and strategy (35%). Paper 3 investigates business in a competitive environment (30%).
