Course summary

Physics is a subject that challenges you to think deeply about how the universe works, from the smallest particles to the largest galaxies. At A Level, it develops your ability to solve complex problems, visualise systems, predict outcomes and analyse data with precision – skills that are highly valued both in higher education and in the workplace. While Physics naturally leads to careers in engineering and scientific research, it is also prized in many other fields. Those with A Level Physics are sought after in finance, medicine, consultancy, the armed forces, clinical science, design, programming, computing and architecture. Physics A Level also complements a wide range of other A Levels. It links closely with Chemistry, Biology, Product Design and Computing, and those studying Further Mathematics will find the connection with Physics especially rewarding.
