Core Maths

Course summary

Core Maths is designed to be taken alongside your chosen A Levels or BTEC subjects and is worth the equivalent UCAS points as an AS Level qualification. It is intended to better prepare students for the mathematical demands of work, study and life. The course’s aim is to build upon and strengthen existing skills and it focusses on using and applying mathematics to solve problems relevant to everyday life, including managing personal finance and statistical modelling which is a valuable skill for many further study and employment opportunities.
