Why choose this subject? Photography will allow you to view the world differently, to observe the mundane and capture it creatively through the lens of a camera. You will develop transferable skills such as communication, project management, marketing your own work, technical proficiency with software and equipment, critical thinking and creative problem solving. What will I study? The A Level Photography course develops your technical and creative skills, teaching you how to compose striking images using DSLR cameras and manual settings like ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. You'll explore studio and location lighting, learn editing techniques in Photoshop, and gain inspiration from artists, trips, and industry professionals. Where can this subject take me? Past Photography Students have previously gone on to university to study Fine Art Photography, Advertising, Documentary Photography, Wildlife Photography, Fashion & Lifestyle Photography, Film Making, Graphic Art, Web & Games Design and Illustration.
