Assessment

Non-examined assessment (NEA): Component 1 – Personal Investigation: a portfolio of practical work exploring a personal theme, supported by written material (1,000–3,000 words). Component 2 – Externally Set Assignment: an externally set theme, culminating in a 15-hour practical examination where students create a final piece. There are no written exams. Assessment is based on the quality of the portfolio and final practical outcomes, which are internally assessed and externally moderated.
