Assessment

The Personal Investigation is a portfolio of practical work supported by written analysis and contextual research. The Externally Set Assignment (ESA) involves responding to a theme set by the exam board and developing this into a final practical piece under supervised conditions. There are no separate written exams, as the qualification is assessed through the portfolio and project work, which are internally assessed and externally moderated.
